High-Fly Canopy Thrills in St. Thomas Parish
The Monkey Zipline at Harrison's Cave Eco-Adventure Park spans high above the lush limestone gully of Welchman Hall. Participants glide across multiple steel cables strung between towering mahogany trees, reaching heights of over 100 to 120 feet above the forest floor.
Along the flight, keep an eye out for Barbados' indigenous green monkeys (Chlorocebus sabaeus) that forage in the canopy, as well as native hummingbirds and tropical plant species thriving in the humid microclimate of the ravine.
Gully Challenge High-Ropes Obstacle Course
Adjacent to the zipline platforms, the Gully Challenge is the largest aerial adventure ropes course in the Eastern Caribbean. Spanning 14 distinct elements suspended in the trees, the course tests your balance, strength, and agility:
- Suspended tightrope traverses and swaying suspension bridges
- Vertical cargo nets and swinging wooden stepping logs
- Continuous safety belay systems ensuring 100% security throughout
- Multiple difficulty tiers suitable for beginner to intermediate climbers
